JARROD LAMSHED

Architect / Director

In 1992 Jarrod graduated from the Illawarra Institute of Technology with a trade certificate in Carpentry and Joinery after winning the Institute award for Academic Achievement.

​

In 1993 Jarrod joined Geoff Ninnes Fong and Partners to work on the structural design of public buildings such as the Cook and Phillip Park Aquatic Centre in Sydney and High rise residential towers in Malaysia. In 1997 Jarrod graduated from the Sydney Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering.

In 2001 Jarrod joined the RMJM head office in London to work on the design of the London Barclays Bank Headquarters, returning to Sydney in 2002 to work on urban design projects for the City of Sydney, Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, NSW Government Architects Office and the Sydney Olympic Park Authority.

In 2004 Jarrod graduated from the University of Technology Sydney with a Masters in Architecture with first class honours, after winning a first place Design Award with a Master plan proposal for the redevelopment of the Sydney Fish Markets. In 2007 Jarrod joined PTW Architects head office in Sydney to lead the Design of the $60M Community Heath Building project in North Sydney and work on the design of Eco Tourism master plan projects in the Asia Pacific region.

In 2008 Jarrod joined Chris Bosse, Tobias Walliser and Alexander Rieck at LAVA to play a key role in the design of award winning projects including the design of Highrise Residential Twin Towers for the Barangaroo waterfront in Sydney with Lend Lease and Rogers Stirk Harbour, The 240m MSWCT Wharf Tower for Michael Schumacher in Abu Dhabi with Wenzel Wenzel Germany, and the international competition winning Masdar Plaza proposal in Abu Dhabi as part of the Foster and Partners Masterplan.

Jarrod founded ARMADA ARCHITECTS in 2013.
